Sort Life is a personal-finance recordkeeping app for macOS provided by ConnectivAI. This policy covers the app and this support website.

Your financial records

Income, expenses, categories, tags, investments, fixed deposits, assets, debts and preferences are stored locally on your Mac. The app does not send these records to ConnectivAI servers. It does not connect to your bank or broker, place trades, or require an online account.

Security and passcode recovery

The local database uses AES-GCM encryption with a separate encryption key stored in macOS Keychain. The app stores a salted passcode verifier, not the plain-text app passcode. Passcode recovery asks macOS to verify your Mac login password; the app does not receive or store that password. No biometric authentication is requested. Anyone who can authenticate as your Mac account can reset the app passcode.

The passcode is an app lock, not a separate password-derived database encryption key. Protect your Mac account and backups. No security measure guarantees protection against every threat.

Exports and optional AI access

JSON backups and CSV exports are readable files saved where you choose. Optional MCP access, disabled by default, creates a readable local snapshot of financial information for a compatible AI client you configure. When enabled, that snapshot is not protected by the app lock. Turning MCP off removes the local snapshot, but cannot erase copies already read by another client.

Your chosen AI provider may receive and retain information under its own privacy policy when you use its analysis features. Connect only trusted clients and review their policies first. Sort Life does not call a paid AI model API itself.

Reminders and diagnostics

If you permit notifications, Sort Life schedules local reminders. Notification content may be visible on your Mac according to your notification settings. The app contains no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK or tracking service. Apple may process App Store transactions or diagnostics according to your Apple settings and its own privacy policy.

This website and support

This website is hosted on Vercel. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser details and access logs, to deliver and secure the website. We have not added advertising, analytics scripts, forms or tracking cookies.

If you email support@connectivai.com, your email address and message are processed to respond and resolve your request. Do not include passwords or unnecessary financial information. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle requests, maintain necessary records or meet legal obligations.

Your choices and deletion

You can export records or erase financial records in the app’s Settings. Exports, backups and copies held by AI services are separate; manage or delete them at their respective locations. Erasing records does not remove your app passcode. Uninstalling the app may leave local files and Keychain items behind.
